Honouring Don Nilson

We’re thrilled to announce that Don Nilson has been granted an honorary life membership in the Society of Certified Management Accountants (CMA) of British Columbia.

This is further recognition of the tremendous contribution Don has made to the accounting profession of B.C. (and the CMA nationally) over more than twenty-five years. Out of 5,000 current members, there are only 85 members who currently enjoy this prestigious recognition.

Congratulations, Don!

Don has already received the FCMA (Fellow of the Society of Certified Managements Accountants) designation in 2005.

The FCMA is a prestigious, national honorary award. The distinguishing qualities of an FCMA are a demonstrated excellence in management accounting, commitment to and pride in the CMA designation and their professional organization, enthusiastic involvement in their local community, and is a reflection of the accounting profession’s respect for the member.

Congratulations Don. You encouraged me to keep studying for accounting courses and I know that without that support I would not be where I am in my accounting career. Alas, my career is coming to an end soon, but I remain ever grateful.

All the best for the season.
