AFT Trivest is now a member of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada (PMAC). PMAC was established in 1952 (formerly the Investment Counsel Association of Canada), and now represents over 180 firms nationally. Altogether, PMAC firms manage over $1 trillion in assets for more than one million institution and private clients. A non-profit organization, PMAC represents discretionary investment management firms not only for private clients, such as what Trivest does, but also pension plans, foundations, and other institutional investors.
PMAC advocates on behalf of members to securities regulators and government agencies, to ensure the collective voice of portfolio managers is heard when the government is considering policy changes that may affect the profession. PMAC helps its members stay on top of the latest regulatory requirements, and informed with educational and best practice seminars. PMAC also serves to increase public awareness of portfolio management and its benefits.
We look forward to our relationship with PMAC as it will help us continue meeting our client’s goals and objectives. For more information, check out PMAC’s website here.
